I am confused with this question
While learning to live in isolation
Set by the new rules for eradicating
The spread of attack by a powerful virus
A novel invisible micro-virus called ‘Coronavirus.’
The Virus is a powerful messenger of death
With the Fear of Death – ‘WHO declares urgency
Declaring it to be pandemic to live in isolation.’
To maintain social distance and move with caution
It has brought the world at a stand still!
I ask in fear “Is COVID 19 a Bully?”
Coronavirus is invisible and travels around
They enjoy sprinkling the magic dust of death
To its hosts and the health care providers
Without a least bit of grief!
The mankind around the world is escaping,
Abandoning work place, public gatherings
To be in the safest place in a hurry to their home
Not realizing the ‘COVID 19’ is traveling with them.
Whom do I ask ‘If COVID 19 is a bully?’
With my trembling hands I type the words
‘CORONAVIRUS’ and ‘Bully’!
Can you guess what I find as the answers?
Coronavirus is a type of flue called influenza!
Can’t the yearly Flue shot prevent the virus attack?
Answer is No! So where do we go and hide.
To keep Corona miles away from my family and me…
Now! To search for the meaning of Bully…
I was surprised to learn “Five hundred years ago
It meant friend, family member or sweetheart!”
I wonder about the origin of the word ‘Bully’
Oh! Its’ origin is Dutch, comes from the word ‘Boel’
Meaning Lover or brother! WOW!
Oh! I say…
There are four types of Bullying:
Verbal, social, physical & Cyber bullying!
Indeed! It is good to know…
So! COVID 19 is a Social Bully!
So! It is nothing but like a person who likes
Hurting, frightening, abusing, intimidating
Words that can kill you, is ‘A Bully!’
Then! I can call the invisible ‘Coronavirus,’
A BULLY to End My Story!!!
No, I must know what that living being is?
So, the Bully is a character who hurts you over
And over, I think of them as the sandpaper!
They scratch and hurt you a bit…
But at the end you end up polished and
They end up useless in the world…
So, I want to be a friend & not a bully!
To end my story ‘A bully is a Loner and Loser!
Needless to say, it does not make it stronger.”
